[box] Here we are on the last #SOL15 Challenge. We made it! Writing every day has helped up to reflect on our process and has clarified what is important to us and what we could do without. Ultimately, this will make us stronger teachers as we continue to grow. This last post for the challenge is our reflection for how we are bringing Johnston’s work into our practice. We are startled by how much power rests in word choice – how our words influence our work and student outcomes. Words can lift us up or dash our hopes. Words are powerful so use them wisely[/box]

  1. Jenn, Peter Johnston work on word choice has been a great addition to literacy classrooms. I have heard him speak several times and have been wowed by his thoughts. The conversation your learners had was on point. Thanks for sharing.

  2. Thank you Carol yes Johnston is a game changer. I started reading his work at @Lesleyctrrrlc and now I’m hooked. This is a conversation I want to keep going for sure.
